CNA Appoints Dieter Korte Vice President Underwriting, Manufacturing

CHICAGO, March 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CNA today announced the appointment of Dieter Korte as Vice President, Underwriting for the company's Manufacturing Segment, effective March 14, 2016. In this role, Dieter will be responsible for leading the Manufacturing Segment in implementing its strategic and operational objectives. He will report to John Tatum, Senior Vice President, Commercial Segments.

"Dieter's extensive knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry, combined with his proven track record of performance and strong leadership experience, make him well suited to lead Manufacturing at CNA," Tatum said.  

Dieter joins CNA from Chubb, where he served in a variety of roles over his 25-year tenure, including managing worldwide product lines, creating strategies for segments and lines of business, and leading large teams of field underwriters within branches, zones and larger territories.

Dieter earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University and an MBA from Wayne State University.
