CHICAGO, Oct. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CNA announced the appointment of Liz Aguinaga to senior vice president and chief human resources officer for CNA, effective today. In this role, Liz will report to Tom Pontarelli, executive vice president and chief administration officer. She will be responsible for strategies and operations for global human resources across the entire CNA enterprise.

Liz joined CNA in 2010 as a vice president and human resources business partner. Her responsibilities included the development of talent solutions and a human capital strategy for CNA's global business, encompassing 64 branches around the world. Prior to this role, she served for nine years in both recruiting and human resources generalist functions at the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

Liz holds a bachelor of arts degree in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Illinois and a master's in human resources from Loyola University.

Liz succeeds Debbie Nutley, who announced her retirement earlier this year after 19 years of service at CNA. Debbie's career spans 24 years in the insurance industry and five years in private legal practice. "Debbie's contributions to CNA go well beyond the world of Human Resources. Her broad leadership experience, calm demeanor and sense of humor will be missed," Pontarelli added.
