Andrew Pinkes Appointed Executive Vice President Of CNA Worldwide Property & Casualty Claim

CHICAGO, April 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CNA Financial Corporation (NYSE: CNA) today announced the appointment of Andrew Pinkes as executive vice president of Worldwide Property & Casualty Claim, effective May 18, 2015, reporting to Tom Motamed, chairman and chief executive officer, CNA. In this role, Andrew will be responsible for claim strategies and operations for CNA's $6.5 billion worldwide Property & Casualty Operations.

Andrew joins CNA with more than two decades of insurance industry experience, including the management of both domestic and international Property & Casualty lines, including Specialty. Most recently, he served as the global head of claims for the XL Group where he was responsible for claim strategy and support for 23 underwriting areas across 20 countries and 36 offices. Prior to joining XL, Andrew served in a number of senior positions at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., including executive vice president of Claims. He started his insurance career at The Travelers, where his roles included senior vice president and general counsel of the Special Liability Group.

Andrew graduated with honors from Connecticut College and Western New England College School of Law.

Last year, George Fay announced his plans to retire in 2015, which will occur following a transition period with Pinkes.
