He is responsible for human resources and information technology in addition to the financial functions. David joined the company as senior vice president in May 2005, monitoring the performance of Loews’s subsidiaries and focusing on strategy, finance, corporate development and investor relations.
Prior to Loews, David was executive vice president and corporate treasurer of JPMorgan Chase & Co. He was named corporate treasurer in 2001. David joined Chase in 1997 in global mergers & acquisitions and subsequently became head of the firm’s global financial institutions group. Earlier in his career, David worked in the mergers & acquisitions and financial institutions groups at Goldman Sachs & Co.
David earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1985 and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1981 with an A.B. in English.
David is a director of AutoNation, Inc. He serves as a trustee of the Jewish Board of Family & Children’s Services and a board member of the American Jewish Committee New York. David sits on the nominating & alumni trustee search committee at Dartmouth and chairs the nominating committee at Central Synagogue.
